Ingredients

  • 1 pound black-eyed peas dried
  • 1 onion small, diced
  • 1 bell pepper red, orange or yellow, diced
  • 1/2 cup Canadian bacon chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube or beef bouillon cube
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in your slow cooker.
  2. Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 5-6 hours, until the beans are tender.
