Slow Cooker Cabbage Roll Soup

Slow Cooker Cabbage Roll Soup blends ground turkey, chopped cabbage, tomatoes, and spices into a comforting, hearty soup reminiscent of traditional cabbage rolls. Simmered slowly to develop flavor, it provides tender cabbage and savory meat enriched with Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar for balanced taste.

Description

The soup preparation begins with browning ground turkey and sautéing onions to build a flavorful base. These ingredients combine in a slow cooker with large pieces of cabbage, canned tomato sauce and diced tomatoes, water, beef bouillon cubes, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, brown sugar, celery salt, black pepper, salt, and parsley flakes. The mixture cooks for several hours to tenderize the cabbage while melding the flavors.

Cooked rice is stirred in near the end to complete the soup with added body and starch, making the dish filling and balanced. The slow cooker method allows the components to develop a rich, savory profile with tender textures suitable for an easy, warm meal.

This soup is practical for hands-off cooking and can be served hot with crusty bread or a simple side salad.
