Slow-Cooker Corn on the Cob
Description
The recipe begins by adding water to the slow cooker, then brushing corn halves with melted butter and seasoning with salt. The corn pieces are arranged in the slow cooker and cooked on high for 2 to 3 hours or low for 6 to 8 hours. This gentle cooking method softens the kernels and allows the flavors to meld without overcooking.
Prior to serving, more chunks of butter are stirred into the corn to enhance the buttery richness and shine. The corn remains tender, juicy, and infused with butter and seasoning throughout. The option to add freshly ground black pepper offers subtle heat without overpowering the sweet corn flavor.
This slow-cooker method is convenient for hands-off cooking, ideal for preparing corn ahead for gatherings or everyday meals, delivering consistent results without stovetop attention.
