Slow Cooker French Onion Pot Roast

This Slow Cooker French Onion Pot Roast is a delicious twist on our Dutch Oven Pot Roast Recipe. It cooks tender for an easy roast recipe.

Ingredients
- 3-4 pound beef chuck roast
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large yellow onion thinly sliced
- 2 cans Condensed French Onion Soup 10.5 ounces each
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
- Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the roast on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Transfer to the slow cooker.
- Pour the French Onion soup and Worcestershire sauce on top of the roast.
- Top with the sliced onions, garlic and seasonings.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, until the meat is tender and easily shreds.
- Shred the meat in the slow cooker and mix with the onion gravy.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- You can also cook on HIGH for 5-6 hours instead.
- Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
