Slow Cooker Green Beans Recipe
Description
Frozen French style green beans are thawed and placed in a slow cooker with a sauce made from melted butter, packed brown sugar, garlic salt, and reduced sodium soy sauce. After mixing in cooked bacon, the slow cooker gently warms the ingredients on low heat for 2 to 3 hours until heated through and flavors are combined. The beans cook to a tender texture but retain some bite, while the sauce permeates the bacon and beans with balanced sweetness and savory notes.
This side pairs well with hearty mains and can be prepared in advance for convenience. The slow cooker method requires minimal prep and attention, delivering flavorful green beans with a uniquely rich, slightly sweet taste.
