Slow Cooker Honey Buffalo Meatballs

Slow Cooker Honey Buffalo Meatballs combine frozen meatballs with a tangy-sweet sauce made from hot sauce, honey, apricot preserves, brown sugar, soy sauce, and cornstarch. The mixture simmers gently over hours in a slow cooker, resulting in meatballs coated in a balanced, glossy sauce with both heat and sweetness.

Description

This recipe involves placing frozen meatballs in a slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray, then covering them with a sauce made by whisking together Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce, honey, apricot preserves, brown sugar, soy sauce, and cornstarch. The starch helps thicken the sauce as it cooks. The meatballs slowly heat for 3 to 4 hours on low, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken.

The final dish has meatballs evenly coated in a spicy, sweet, and tangy glaze, with sticky notes from the apricot and honey complementing the buffalo heat. This hands-off cooking method simplifies preparation and keeps the meatballs warm until serving.

Serve these meatballs as an appetizer, party snack, or part of a main meal. Stir occasionally during cooking to prevent sticking and ensure even coating.
