Slow Cooker Keto Mississippi Pot Roast
Description
This pot roast recipe utilizes a chuck roast placed in the slow cooker with melted butter, ranch seasoning mix, beef broth concentrate dissolved in hot water, pepperoncini peppers, and pepperoncini juice. No additional liquids are added, relying on the roast's natural moisture. Cooking on low for 8-10 hours or high for 4-5 hours produces meat that shreds easily.
The inclusion of ranch seasoning and pepperoncini peppers adds a distinctive savory and slightly tangy flavor characteristic of Mississippi pot roast recipes. The slow cooking method breaks down the connective tissues, ensuring a tender texture. The juices left in the cooker make a flavorful sauce to spoon over the shredded meat.
This dish can be served on its own or alongside low-carb vegetables or salads to maintain keto-friendly eating. It is practical for hands-off cooking and provides satisfying results.
