Slow Cooker Kielbasa

Slow Cooker Kielbasa delivers tender sausage pieces simmered in a tangy, slightly sweet barbecue and orange sauce thickened optionally with cornstarch. The slow cooking softens the kielbasa and melds the smoky paprika with the citrus and barbecue flavors, creating a rich yet balanced sauce. This hands-off recipe is ideal for casual meals where you want flavorful kielbasa cooked evenly without much fuss.

Description

Slow Cooker Kielbasa combines chunks of kielbasa sausage with a sauce made from barbecue sauce, orange marmalade, Worcestershire sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, and spices including garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. The kielbasa cooks slowly in this flavorful sauce allowing the sausages to absorb the sweet and smoky notes. Adding a cornstarch-water mixture near the end thickens the sauce for better coating.

The slow cooker method yields evenly heated, tender sausage pieces with a rich glaze. The orange marmalade adds a distinctive sweet citrus character paired with the smokiness from the paprika and barbecue sauce.

This kielbasa can be served as an easy main dish or alongside sides such as rice or potatoes. The prep is straightforward, making it a practical recipe when you want a ready meal with deep flavors developed over slow cooking.
