Slow Cooker Overnight Pecan Pie Oatmeal Recipe

This slow cooker oatmeal mimics pecan pie flavors using steel cut oats, evaporated skim milk, brown sugar, and maple flavoring. Cooking overnight yields creamy, tender oats with a warm sweetness. Toppings like brown sugar, maple syrup, and chopped pecans add textural contrast and deepen the dessert-inspired profile, making it a comforting breakfast with richness and nutty crunch.

Description

Slow Cooker Overnight Pecan Pie Oatmeal starts by combining steel cut oats, water, evaporated skim milk, brown sugar, and maple flavoring in a greased slow cooker. Cooking on low for 6 to 8 hours softens the oats thoroughly, resulting in a creamy texture similar to porridge.

The flavor balance evokes pecan pie through the combination of maple and brown sugar sweetness paired with naturally nutty oats. Serving with additional brown sugar, real maple syrup, and chopped pecans brings a bright crunch and intensifies sweetness and aroma reminiscent of the classic dessert.

This warm oatmeal suits a comforting morning meal during cooler months or when a hearty, sweet start is desired. The slow cooker method allows for effortless overnight preparation and hands-off cooking.
