Slow Cooker Pork Chops and Potatoes
Description
Slow Cooker Pork Chops and Potatoes combines boneless pork chops with thinly sliced onions and red baby potatoes for a hearty and convenient dish. After seasoning and searing the pork chops to create golden edges, they are layered over the potatoes and onions in a slow cooker. A sauce made from cream of chicken soup and chicken broth is poured over the top, sealing in moisture as it cooks. The slow cooking process renders the pork tender and infuses the potatoes with rich flavors from the sauce and pork drippings.
The seasoning blend of salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder highlights the savory profile without overwhelming the dish. The final garnish of fresh parsley adds a subtle herbal note and fresh color contrast.
This meal can be served as an easy weeknight dinner, offering a complete plate with protein and starch. Adjusting the potato quantity or adding carrots provides flexibility to complement different preferences. Ensuring even thickness in pork chops and consistent potato sizes helps the components cook uniformly.
Note that shredding the pork after cooking can stretch servings further, and cooking times vary based on slow cooker settings. Careful layering and searing contribute to well-textured meat and flavorful sides.
