Slow Cooker Ribs
Description
This recipe segments baby back ribs to fit in the slow cooker, then coats them with a barbecue spice rub and drizzles them with barbecue sauce for flavor and moisture. The ribs are stacked and cooked on high for 3-4 hours or low for 7-8 hours, allowing the meat to become tender and infused with the seasoning.
After slow cooking, the ribs are transferred to a sheet pan coated with cooking spray and brushed with additional barbecue sauce. They are broiled for a few minutes to caramelize the sauce and develop a sticky glaze, adding texture contrast to the tender meat.
Sliced before serving, these ribs are ideal for a relaxed meal with minimal active cooking but a satisfying smoky, saucy taste and fall-apart tenderness. The method balances ease with a flavorful BBQ experience.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds baby back ribs trimmed and membrane removed
- 1/4 cup bbq spice rub homemade or store bought
- 1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce divided use
