Slow Cooker Steak Mac and Cheese. This must try delicious slow cooker recipe is all about leftovers and a cheap family meal. Featuring leftover steak and leftover mac and cheese this is a slow cooker cheesy steak pasta favourite.

  • Slow cooker

Steak Mac And Cheese (with leftovers):

  • leftover steak
  • 1 Tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • leftover mac and cheese
  • 300 ml skimmed milk
  • 2 Tsp Garlic puree
  • 100 g cheddar cheese
  • 1 Tbsp oregano
  • salt & pepper

Steak Mac And Cheese (no leftovers):

  • 1 8 oz Steak sliced into strips
  • 1 Tsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 500 g macaroni
  • 1 L skimmed milk
  • 300 g grated cheese
  • 270 g soft cheese
  • 2 Tsp Garlic puree
  • 2 Tsp oregano

Instructions

  1. Brown your steak in your slow cooker with extra virgin olive oil and then stir in garlic puree. Drain off any excess fat.
  2. Either load up ingredients from the leftover’s ingredients list or the no leftovers. Then stir. Cook for 60 minutes on high, then stir.
  3. Cook for 2 more hours on high before serving.

Notes

  • Ingredients. Note that we have two ingredients list. One from leftovers and one if you don’t have mac and cheese leftovers. Only pick from one ingredients list. Whichever method you follow note that you are dumping the ingredients in and then letting the slow cooker do its magic.
  • Fridge. Note that as this has meat in it, that you can only reheat it once. You can store it in the fridge for 2 days before reheating.
