Slow Cooker Turkey Chili
Description
This Slow Cooker Turkey Chili recipe starts by browning lean ground turkey for added flavor before combining it with diced onions, red and yellow bell peppers, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes in a slow cooker. Black beans and red kidney beans contribute creamy, hearty texture, while jarred jalapeño slices and frozen corn add mild heat and sweetness. Spices such as chili powder and cumin round out the flavor profile.
Cooking on low or high heat for several hours allows the flavors to meld and ingredients to tenderize fully, resulting in a thick and satisfying chili. The inclusion of multiple bean varieties gives the dish a pleasing bite and depth.
Serve the chili with optional toppings like shredded cheese, green onions, avocado, or sour cream to enhance taste and presentation. This meal suits busy days where slow cooker convenience is preferred and can be adapted by substituting ground chicken or beef as needed.
