Smoked Salmon Cracker Recipe

This Smoked Salmon Cracker recipe assembles crunchy crackers topped with a basil pesto cream cheese spread, thin slices of cucumber and smoked salmon, capers, and fresh dill sprigs. The combination offers a balance of creamy, smoky, fresh, and briny flavors framed by crisp crackers, suitable for appetizers or light snacks.

Description

The recipe starts by blending softened cream cheese with basil pesto to create a flavorful, creamy base spreadable on each cracker. Thin cucumber slices add a cool, crisp contrast to smoked salmon pieces layered on top, bringing a delicate smoky and salty flavor. Capers contribute bursts of briny taste, and fresh dill adds an herbaceous note. Flaky sea salt finishes each bite with a subtle crunch.

This assembly requires no cooking and assembles quickly, making it useful for entertaining or as quick snacks. Variations include omitting cucumber on some crackers for variety.

These bite-sized crackers provide a mix of textures and flavors that work well on their own or paired with light wines or cocktails. The recipe’s reliance on quality ingredients like fresh dill and pesto ensures a balanced, fresh-tasting hors d'oeuvre.
