Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese , softened
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 3 tablespoons green onion minced, or scallions or chives
- 2 tablespoons dill chopped, fresh
- 1-2 tablespoons lemon juice start with 1 tablespoon and add more to taste, freshly squeezed
- 2 tablespoons capers , drained
- 1 clove garlic , minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
- hot sauce to taste, or cayenne
- 8 ounces smoked salmon , flaked
Instructions
- Process the cream cheese and sour cream in a food processor until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients except for the salmon and process until mostly smooth. Add the smoked salmon and pulse until only slightly chunky or until desired consistency is reached. Transfer mixture to a bowl. Add salt, pepper, hot sauce, and lemon juice to taste. Cover and chill for at least one hour before serving. Makes about 2 cups. Will keep for 4-5 days.
