S'mores Chocolate Martini
Description
This cocktail recipe first prepares the glass by swirling the rim in chocolate syrup then dipping it into crushed graham cracker crumbs, imitating the traditional s'mores crust. The drink itself is shaken over ice with chocolate liqueur, crème de cacao, and whipped cream flavored vodka, chilling the mixture for about 20 seconds before straining into the prepared glass. A large marshmallow is toasted and placed on top as garnish, adding a roasted flavor and visual nod to the campfire treat.
The flavor profile is creamy and sweet with layered chocolate notes, balanced by the unique whipped cream vodka. The graham crackers and chocolate rim set the stage before the first sip, tying the cocktail to the nostalgic dessert it evokes.
This drink is ideal as a dessert cocktail, served at a gathering or special occasion, providing a playful adult take on s'mores.
Homemade chocolate syrup or Hershey's can be used interchangeably, and recommended brands for the liqueurs enhance the flavor. The recipe makes a single cocktail per preparation.
Ingredients
- chocolate syrup (see note 1)
- graham cracker crumbs from 1 cracker, crushed
- 2 ounces chocolate liqueur (see note 2)
- 1 ounce creme de cacao
- 1 ounce vodka see note 3, whipped cream flavored
- 1 large marshmallow toasted, for garnish
Instructions
- Arrange two shallow dishes on a flat surface. To the first, add chocolate syrup in a circular pattern approximately the size of the rim of the glass. To the second, pour the crushed cracker crumbs.
- Swirl the rim of a chilled martini glass in the chocolate syrup, then immediately dredge in graham cracker crumbs. Set aside.
- Fill a martini shaker with ice. Add chocolate liqueur, crème de cacao, and vodka. Shake vigorously until chilled, about 20 seconds. Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a toasted marshmallow.
Notes
- Use Hershey's syrup or homemade chocolate sauce to rim the glass.
- Godiva chocolate liqueur is preferred for rich flavor, but alternatives can be used.
- Pinnacle whipped cream vodka adds creaminess; vanilla vodka can substitute.
- This recipe yields one cocktail, perfect for individual serving.
