Snickers Pretzel Bites
Description
This recipe uses mini-sized Snickers candy bars and mini pretzels to build simple no-fuss bites. The pretzels provide a salty crunch while the Snickers bars soften and become slightly melted after 5 minutes in a 350°F oven. Pressing another pretzel on top sandwiches the softened Snickers between a crisp pretzel base and top, creating a contrast of textures. After refrigerating the bites for at least 20 minutes, they firm up for easy handling and serving.
The Snickers Pretzel Bites are good as small appetizers, snack bites, or party finger foods where a balance of salty and sweet is enjoyed. They require minimal preparation and ingredients, making them practical to assemble quickly. The snap of the pretzel pairs with the chocolate, nougat, and peanut candy bar layers inside.
The refrigeration step is important to help the melted Snickers solidify again, preventing mess and allowing the bites to hold their shape. The simple baking time and use of parchment paper make cleanup straightforward. This recipe requires no special techniques, perfect for casual or last-minute treats.
