Sos Ti-Malice

Sauce Ti-Malice (or sos Ti-Malice), is a traditional spicy Haitian sauce that is served hot or warm to accompany various dishes.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ onion , julienned or cut into strips
- 1 clove garlic , minced
- 1 shallot , cut into strips
- ¼ green bell pepper , cut into thin strips
- ¼ red bell pepper , cut into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- salt
- black pepper
- 2 tablespoons pikliz vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and shallots and cook, stirring for 2 minutes.
- Add peppers, tomato paste, salt, black pepper, pikliz vinegar and lime juice and cook, stirring for 3 minutes.
- Add 1 cup of water and bring to boil. Cook for 15 minutes over low to medium heat. Cool.
