Southwest Sauce

Report
Southwest Sauce combines Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, ranch dressing, chipotle paste, apple cider vinegar, and spices into a creamy, tangy condiment with a smoky, slightly spicy flavor profile. The sauce is smooth and blends the richness of dairy with the smoky heat of chipotle, balanced by vinegar and sugar for brightness and mild sweetness. It's versatile as a dip, spread, or topping for various dishes.

Description

The sauce is made by whisking together Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, and ranch dressing to create a creamy base, then adding chipotle paste for smoky heat, apple cider vinegar for tang, sugar for balance, and garlic and onion powders for savory depth. This combination yields a smooth and flavorful sauce with moderate spice.

Letting the sauce rest chilled for about 30 minutes allows the flavors to meld fully. Using fresh garlic and onion powders under six months old ensures potency. Chipotle powder can substitute chipotle paste if necessary.

The sauce's smooth texture can clog squeezable bottles if not blended thoroughly, so blending before bottling is recommended for ease of use. It can be used to add a smoky, creamy element to sandwiches, salads, grilled meats, or vegetables.
