Southwest Turkey Meatballs

Southwest Turkey Meatballs combine lean ground turkey with minced jalapeño, garlic, fresh cilantro, and scallions for a flavorful yet light option. The addition of cumin and oregano adds warm spice notes, while seasoned bread crumbs and egg bind the mixture firmly. These meatballs bake until cooked through with a tender texture and can be served as appetizers or with a creamy cilantro tomatillo dipping sauce for extra tang.

Description

Southwest Turkey Meatballs use 99% lean ground turkey enhanced by finely minced jalapeño and garlic, fresh cilantro, and scallions for aromatic herbal and spicy layers. Seasoned bread crumbs and an egg help bind the mixture, while cumin and oregano provide distinctive southwestern flavors. Rolled into small portions, they bake at 400°F for 15 minutes to a tender, moist texture without frying. The baking method keeps them light and allows the spices to meld. Serving with a creamy cilantro tomatillo dipping sauce brightens the dish with complementary acidity and creaminess.
