Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade

Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade combines fresh or thawed raspberries with lemonade concentrate, sugar, and club soda for a refreshing fruit-infused drink. The raspberries are pureed and optionally strained to remove seeds, forming a syrup that's mixed with chilled club soda. This lemonade offers a lightly sweet, tangy raspberry flavor with effervescent bubbles, ideal for serving cold at gatherings or as a cooling beverage.

Description

The Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade is made by blending thawed raspberries with lemonade concentrate and sugar to create a vibrant, fruity syrup. Straining the mixture removes seeds for a smoother texture, though this step is optional. The syrup is then combined with cold club soda to add refreshing carbonation, resulting in a bright and slightly sweet lemonade enhanced by the fresh raspberry flavor.

This beverage is served chilled with ice and garnished with fresh raspberries and lemon slices for a visually appealing presentation. Individual servings can be prepared by pouring the raspberry syrup over ice and topping with soda, making it versatile for parties or casual refreshment.

The preparation allows ingredients to be prepped ahead; however, carbonation is best when added just before serving to maintain fizz. Using fresh or frozen raspberries provides flexibility depending on availability.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 raspberries 12 oz bag frozen, thawed or 12 oz fresh
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 lemonade concentrate 12 oz can frozen, thawed in the fridge
  • lemon juice 1 cup from about 6 medium lemons with 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Liter club soda chilled, bottle
  • ice fresh, to serve
  • raspberries optional, fresh, for garnish
  • lemon optional, fresh, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In the bowl of an electric blender, puree together the thawed lemonade can with 1/4 cup sugar and 1 bag of thawed raspberries (just make sure to take them out of the bag, do not put the bag in the blender - just in case) ;).
  2. If you don't want the seeds to be present in your lemonade, you can strain the syrup through a cheese cloth or sieve pressing on the seeds to get as much syrup through as possible. This part is a little annoying but it really only takes a few minutes. Discard leftover seeds
  3. Just before your party, combine the raspberry lemonade mixture with your club soda in your punch bowl and toss in fresh raspberries and lemon slices for prettiness.
  4. Note: If you want to make individual cups, add ice to a tall glass then top with 1/3 cup of raspberry syrup and gently pour in 1 cup club soda then toss in some raspberries and a slice of lemon for vacation effect ;)
