Spiced Apples (Instant Pot)

This Instant Pot spiced apple recipe uses Granny Smith apples cooked with apple cider, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt to create tender, flavorful apples. The pressure cooking method softens the apples quickly while infusing them with warm spices, making a sweet, slightly tart side or topping that can accompany pork chops, chicken, or desserts like ice cream or pound cake.

Description

Spiced Apples prepared in the Instant Pot combine peeled, cored apple wedges with apple cider, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Pressure cooking for a short time tenderizes the apples while concentrating the spices' flavors. The result is soft, fragrant apple wedges with a balanced sweetness and spice aroma.

This dish can be served warm as a side to meats such as pork chops or chicken, or used as a fruit topping over desserts, offering a versatile addition to meals.
