Spicy Cheez-It Snack Mix recipe

Report
Spicy Cheez-It Snack Mix is a savory blend of cheese crackers and pretzels coated evenly with a homemade mixture of ranch seasoning, crushed red pepper, and canola oil. The combination offers a crunchy, flavorful snack with a balance of tangy ranch and heat from red pepper. Preparing the mix by shaking seasoning and oil in a sealed bag ensures consistent coverage, resulting in a tasty, addictive snack perfect for casual nibbling or parties.

Description

This Spicy Cheez-It Snack Mix combines Cheez-It crackers and pretzel twists tossed with a seasoning blend of ranch dressing mix and crushed red pepper mixed into canola oil. Mixing the seasoning with oil before coating the snacks helps distribute flavors evenly across the crunchy components. The shaken bag method allows the crackers and pretzels to get well coated without breaking.

The result is a crisp, savory snack with a hint of heat balanced by the cool, tangy ranch spice. The use of both crackers and pretzels provides a mix of textures and shapes. The snack is served as is without further cooking, making preparation quick and easy.

It is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container or refrigerated for up to one to two weeks, maintaining crispness and flavor.
