Spicy Chex Mix Recipe
Description
The Spicy Chex Mix combines corn, rice, and wheat Chex cereals with mixed nuts, mini pretzels, and plain bagel chips to provide a variety of crunchy textures. A sauce made from melted butter browned with Worcestershire sauce and seasoned with garlic powder, salt, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, and cayenne powder lends a robust, mildly spicy and savory coating to the mix.
The mixture is baked at a low 250°F temperature for an hour, with stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even crisping and prevent scorching. After baking, it cools to a crunchy, flavorful snack mix with a blend of heat and rich umami elements from the Worcestershire and spices.
