Spicy Deviled Eggs Recipe with Bacon and Jalapeno

This recipe combines classic deviled eggs with crispy bacon and spicy jalapeno for a creamy, smoky, and piquant appetizer. The filling mixes mashed egg yolks with cream cheese, mayonnaise, spicy brown mustard, and hot sauce, balancing rich and zesty flavors. Cooked jalapeno and garlic add warmth and depth, while garnishes of bacon bits and jalapeno slices provide texture and extra heat. These deviled eggs are a flavorful twist on a traditional snack, offering a creamy filling with a fiery kick, ideal for gatherings or casual snacking.

Description

Spicy Deviled Eggs with Bacon and Jalapeno feature hard-boiled eggs halved and filled with a creamy mixture made from their yolks and complementary ingredients. The filling includes cream cheese and mayonnaise for smoothness, enriched by the savory bite of crispy minced bacon. Minced jalapeno and garlic are cooked briefly to bring out their aroma and then blended into the filling, along with spicy brown mustard, sriracha, and cayenne pepper, which lend a layered heat and tang. The eggs are garnished with additional bacon and sliced jalapeno for contrast in texture and presentation.

The cooking method involves preparing bacon until crispy in a pan and reserving some rendered fat to sauté minced jalapeno and garlic briefly, which mellows their sharpness and enhances the flavor profile. Mashing the filling ingredients together creates a uniform, creamy consistency suitable for spooning or piping into the egg whites.

These deviled eggs serve twelve pieces, making them suitable for parties or family snacks. Their smoky and spicy elements make them a distinct variation on standard deviled eggs. They can be served chilled directly after filling and garnishing, providing a balance of creamy, spicy, and smoky tastes in each bite.

  • 3 garlic minced, cloves
  • 6 egg hard boiled
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons brown mustard spicy
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha or use your favorite hot sauce

  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

FOR GARNISH: Extra crumbled bacon, sliced jalapeno, spicy chili flakes and/or extra cayenne pepper

  3. Slice the hard boiled eggs in half. Remove the yolks and add them to a large bowl along with the cooked bacon, jalapeno pepper, garlic, cream cheese, mayonnaise, spicy brown mustard, sriracha (or hot sauce), cayenne pepper and a bit of salt and pepper.
  4. Mash the mixture with a fork, then stir it up until it is nice and creamy. You can also use a hand mixer for this.
  5. Spoon the spicy deviled egg filling into the halved egg whites.
