Spicy Louisiana Shrimp Dip

Spicy Louisiana Shrimp Dip combines chopped scampi shrimp with cream cheese, mayonnaise, Parmesan, bell pepper, chives, Cajun seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and zest. Baked in a hollowed sourdough bread bowl until bubbly and golden, it creates a warm, creamy dip with a kick of spice and fresh brightness. The mix of seafood, cheese, and spices offers layers of flavor and texture, perfect for sharing with crackers or baguette slices.

Description

This dip starts by defrosting and chopping shrimp into small pieces, then mixing them with softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, grated Parmesan, minced red bell pepper, chives or green onions, lemon juice and zest, Cajun seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. The blend balances creaminess, tanginess, and spice. The top of a sourdough loaf is cut off, and the interior scooped out to form a bowl with a sturdy crust.

The dip mixture is packed into the bread bowl and baked at 375°F for about 20 minutes until bubbling and the bread is nicely toasted. The baking melds the flavors and slightly browns the cheese on top. Served warm, this dip suits casual gatherings or appetizers, and pairs well with crackers or sliced baguette off the scooped bread.
