Spicy Margarita Recipe

The Spicy Margarita mixes blanco tequila with fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and a blend of agave nectar, simple syrup, and orange juice for balanced sweetness. Muddled jalapeño slices add a mild heat that complements the citrus and smoothness of the drink. A salted or Tajín-coated rim adds an optional extra layer of savory contrast, perfect for serving over ice in rocks glasses garnished with additional jalapeño slices.

Description

This Spicy Margarita Recipe starts by optionally rimming a rocks glass with lime and Tajín or kosher salt to enhance flavor contrast. Jalapeño slices are muddled in a cocktail shaker to release natural spice and aroma. Blanco tequila, orange liqueur, freshly squeezed lime juice, agave nectar, simple syrup, and a bit of orange juice are added along with ice, then shaken until chilled.

Straining the mixture into the prepared glass with ice delivers a balanced cocktail that combines citrusy tartness, sweet undertones, and a gentle heat from the jalapeño. The drink is finished with jalapeño slices as a garnish to emphasize its spicy character.

The cocktail suits a refreshing adult beverage with a kick, enjoyed chilled and with the option to adjust spiciness by adding or reducing jalapeño quantity. The use of fresh lime juice and freshly squeezed orange juice ensures a bright, fresh flavor profile.
