Spicy Margarita Recipe
Description
This Spicy Margarita Recipe starts by optionally rimming a rocks glass with lime and Tajín or kosher salt to enhance flavor contrast. Jalapeño slices are muddled in a cocktail shaker to release natural spice and aroma. Blanco tequila, orange liqueur, freshly squeezed lime juice, agave nectar, simple syrup, and a bit of orange juice are added along with ice, then shaken until chilled.
Straining the mixture into the prepared glass with ice delivers a balanced cocktail that combines citrusy tartness, sweet undertones, and a gentle heat from the jalapeño. The drink is finished with jalapeño slices as a garnish to emphasize its spicy character.
The cocktail suits a refreshing adult beverage with a kick, enjoyed chilled and with the option to adjust spiciness by adding or reducing jalapeño quantity. The use of fresh lime juice and freshly squeezed orange juice ensures a bright, fresh flavor profile.
