Spicy Noodles Recipe
Description
Spicy Noodles Recipe combines dried egg noodles tossed in a sauce composed primarily of spicy and savory ingredients like gochujang, sriracha, chili-garlic sauce, and chili crisp, balanced with soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. The noodles are boiled until tender, stir-fried briefly with fresh chili peppers to soften them and add extra heat, then coated with the prepared sauce. The garnishes—such as chili crisp, fresh herbs, roasted peanuts, and green onions—brighten the dish with texture and fresh elements.
The noodles have a lively heat with complexity from the fermented and fresh chili components, balanced by the acidity of rice wine vinegar and richness from sesame oil. Stir-frying the chilies in oil before adding the noodles intensifies their flavor and aroma. This dish offers a mix of soft noodles with crunchy, spicy pepper bits and garnishes, making it interesting to eat.
Serving this dish on its own or with added vegetables and proteins allows flexibility. It can work well as a stand-alone spicy meal or as a component within a larger spread. The garnishes provide contrast and help customize the heat level to taste.
You can tailor the heat intensity by choosing your preferred chili peppers and adjusting sriracha and chili crisp quantities. This makes it suitable for various spice tolerance levels, from medium to very hot. The recipe’s straightforward method combines with a dynamic sauce to create flavorful spicy noodles from simple pantry ingredients.
