Spicy Pork Tacos with Red Cabbage Slaw

These Spicy Pork Tacos feature seasoned ground pork cooked with aromatic ginger, cinnamon, and chili garlic sauce, delivering a warmly spiced filling with subtle sweetness. Paired with a crunchy red cabbage and cilantro slaw, served inside soft flour tortillas, this recipe offers a balanced texture and a flavorful, satisfying taco experience.

Description

The ground pork is sautéed with minced onion, kosher salt, cinnamon, and ginger paste to build a depth of flavor. After browning, it is coated thoroughly with chili garlic sauce and balanced with a hint of brown sugar to moderate the spice and add sweetness. This creates a filling that is both spicy and aromatic without overwhelming heat.

The accompanying slaw combines cole slaw mix, red cabbage, and fresh cilantro to introduce a crisp and refreshing contrast. Tossed together, the slaw adds color, crunch, and a subtle herbaceous note that complements the rich pork.

Soft flour tortillas are used to wrap the filling, providing a neutral base that holds the tacos together while allowing the spicy pork and vibrant slaw to shine. These tacos work well for casual meals or small gatherings where handheld, easy-to-eat food is desired.
