Spicy Sausage Quesadilla with Fresh Tomato Salsa
Description
The quesadilla uses spicy sausage sliced into rounds combined with diced red and chili peppers and green onions mixed with grated cheese. This mixture fills tortillas folded in half and cooked in a sandwich maker until the cheese melts and the tortillas become crispy with light browning. The filling delivers both heat and richness while the melted cheese binds the ingredients.
The accompanying fresh tomato salsa consists of finely cubed tomato, cucumbers, and seasoning with salt, pepper, lime juice, and olive oil. The salsa contributes a crisp, acidic, and slightly tangy element that complements the warm, savory quesadilla.
These can be served plated or buffet-style where diners assemble their own. The combination of spicy, creamy, crisp, and fresh textures makes it a complete snack or light meal that showcases contrasting flavors and textures well.
