Spicy Sweet Bacon Wrapped Pineapple Bites
Description
To prepare, pineapple chunks are individually wrapped with halves of thick-cut bacon and rolled in brown sugar that coats the bacon ends. A small amount of hot wing sauce is spooned over each bundle to add a spicy kick. These bites are baked at 400°F until the bacon crisps and the brown sugar melts and bubbles, forming a sticky glaze. The pineapple inside softens and adds juiciness to offset the smoky, caramelized bacon exterior.
This recipe produces a finger food with contrasts between crisp bacon and tender pineapple, accented by sweet brown sugar and a spicy finish from the wing sauce. It suits appetizer or party settings where flavorful bite-sized snacks are welcome. Lining the baking pan with foil helps contain sticky drippings for easier cleanup.
