Spinach Balls
Description
Spinach Balls blend panko breadcrumbs with finely chopped onions, garlic paste, and a mixture of oregano, thyme, and basil for herbal aroma. The addition of beaten eggs and melted butter helps bind the mixture, while grated Parmesan adds a nutty, salty depth. Defrosted, thoroughly squeezed dry spinach ensures the balls are moist but not soggy.
The mixture is rolled into one-inch balls and placed on a greased cookie sheet before baking at 350°F until they are lightly golden, providing a discreet crisp exterior with a soft, flavorful interior. The garlic and herbs complement the spinach’s earthiness and Parmesan’s richness.
Spinach balls are commonly served with a dill lemon dip, which adds a bright, tangy accent to the savory bites, making them suitable as appetizers or snacks for gatherings.
