Spinach Lasagna Recipe

This Spinach Lasagna Recipe layers fresh wilted spinach blended with herbs, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses between tender lasagna noodles and marinara sauce. The filling balances creamy cheeses with fragrant basil and garlic, while Italian seasoning adds depth. Baking under foil first helps the flavors meld and the noodles cook evenly. Topping the lasagna with extra mozzarella during the final baking stage adds a golden cheesy crust. The result is a rich, hearty vegetarian lasagna with a moist and flavorful texture, ideal for a comforting family meal.

Description

Spinach Lasagna Recipe highlights a filling made by cooking fresh spinach with butter until just wilted, then mixing it with chopped basil, minced garlic, ricotta cheese, eggs, Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. This mixture becomes the rich, creamy center layered between cooked lasagna noodles and marinara sauce in a sprayed baking dish. The lasagna is baked covered to ensure the pasta cooks through and flavors combine. Uncovered baking with a mozzarella topping creates a golden, bubbly cheese crust.

The fresh spinach and herbs provide a vibrant flavor that contrasts with the smooth cheese filling. The cheeses bring moistness and richness, while garlic and seasoning add aromatic notes. Baking melds the layers, resulting in a tender and satisfying lasagna with a balance of textures from creamy cheese to soft noodles.

This spinach lasagna works well as a main dish for dinner or special occasions. It pairs nicely with a simple green salad or crusty bread to round out the meal. The layers make it easy to portion and serve.
