Spinach Soufflé

This Spinach Soufflé blends thawed spinach with a creamy mix of cream cheese, Monterey Jack, and Parmesan, enriched by eggs and butter. The mixture is baked until set, creating a fluffy, light texture with a mild cheesy flavor and hints of garlic. Served warm, it makes a comforting side dish that balances richness with the earthiness of spinach.

Description

The Spinach Soufflé combines frozen spinach, softened cream cheese, shredded Monterey Jack, Parmesan, minced garlic, melted butter, beaten eggs, and salt. All ingredients are stirred together and baked in a greased dish at 350°F until the center is firm. This method yields a puffed, delicate texture where the cheeses add creaminess, and the garlic provides subtle depth.

Its tender, airy consistency and mild cheesy taste make it a practical side to complement main courses or as a vegetarian option served warm. The use of thawed and thoroughly drained spinach prevents excess moisture from affecting the soufflé’s rise and texture.

For best results, ensure the spinach is well squeezed dry to avoid soggy consistency. Baking time may vary between 35 to 45 minutes depending on the oven and dish size to achieve a fully set center without overbaking.
