Description
This Sriracha Mayo Recipe combines good-quality mayonnaise with sriracha sauce adjusted for preferred heat, fresh lemon juice, honey for subtle sweetness, and garlic and onion powder for a savory background. Stirring until smooth and chilling for at least an hour allows flavors to marry and mellows the sharpness of sriracha. The result is a rich, spicy sauce with a smooth texture.
It makes a versatile addition to many dishes including sandwiches, burgers, wraps, or as a dipping sauce. Stored in the refrigerator, it keeps well for up to one month, allowing for advance preparation or batch making.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise good quality
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce , adjust according to heat preference
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice fresh
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Place all of the ingredients in a small bowl and stir to thoroughly combine and break up any small lumps of mayonnaise. Cover and chill for at least an hour before using, preferably longer. Will keep for up to one month.Makes about 3/4 cup.
