Starbucks Eggnog Latte

The Starbucks Eggnog Latte blends strong espresso or coffee with steamed milk and eggnog, topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg for a creamy, spiced coffee drink. Heating and frothing the combined milk and eggnog creates a smooth texture that pairs with the rich coffee. This festive beverage replicates a popular seasonal drink from the coffee chain.

Description

This latte starts with brewing espresso or a very strong coffee base. Equal parts milk and eggnog are gently heated together, then frothed to create a light, creamy foam that is similar in texture to traditional latte foam but with a richer flavor from the eggnog. When specialized equipment like a milk frother is unavailable, a blender or shaking in a jar can create froth and mix the liquids.

The drink is assembled by pouring the coffee into a cup, topping it with half of the frothed milk and eggnog mixture, and finishing with whipped cream and optional freshly grated nutmeg for aroma and a warm spice note. This preparation results in a cozy and indulgent coffee beverage suitable for holiday occasions or when a richer latte is desired.

The recipe can be adjusted according to equipment availability and personal taste preferences for spice and sweetness. It does not include steps for additional sweeteners beyond the natural eggnog sweetness.
