Starbucks Medicine Ball (Honey Citrus Mint Tea)

This recipe for Starbucks Medicine Ball, otherwise known as Honey Citrus Mint Tea is easy to prepare and soothing for a sore throat if you're feeling under the weather.

Ingredients

  • ¾ C lemonade steamed
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 bag tea Peach Tranquility, Teavana brand
  • 1 bag tea Jade Citrus Mint, Teavana brand
  • ¾ C water hot
  • 1-2 drops peppermint extract optional

Instructions

Heat up the lemonade:

  1. Pour lemonade into a heat-proof vessel.
  2. Heat it up in the microwave for 1-1.5 minutes, or until steaming hot.

Brew the tea:

  1. Add 1 tablespoon honey into a large mug.
  2. Place 1 Teavana Peach Tranquility tea bag along with 1 Teavana Jade Citrus Mint tea bag into the mug.
  3. Pour ¾ C hot water into the mug and give the honey a stir to dissolve.
  4. Add in the steamed lemonade and let the tea steep for about 5 minutes before removing tea bags.

Peppermint variation:

  1. Add in 1-2 drops of pure peppermint extract for a peppermint version. Stir well.
  2. Garnish with lemon and fresh mint leaves if you wish.

Notes

  • Yield: 1 x 12 oz drink.
