Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade Recipe

Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade is a refreshing beverage combining a hibiscus and passion tea concentrate with lemonade and water, served over ice and optionally garnished with lemon and mint. The concentrate is made by steeping passion tea bags and mint, with vanilla added for subtle sweetness, resulting in a tart and fruity base. Adjusting the proportions tailors the tartness and sweetness, and the drink can be scaled up for groups or customized with optional alcohol or sugar-free variations.

Description

This recipe recreates the Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade by first preparing a passion tea concentrate made from steeped passion tea bags (or dried hibiscus flowers) and fresh mint leaves. The brewed concentrate features a vibrant, fruity tartness with herbal notes from the mint. Adding vanilla extract softens and rounds the flavor. The concentrate is cooled and stored refrigerated until use.

To assemble the lemonade, the concentrate is mixed with cold water and lemonade (or limeade) in proportions adjusted to taste, poured over ice for a chilled, invigorating beverage. Garnishes like fresh mint, hibiscus flowers, or lemon slices add visual appeal and fresh aroma. The drink offers bright, tart berry-like and citrus flavors balanced with subtle sweetness, lightened by water and ice.

This homemade version allows easy adjustment of intensity by varying the concentrate amount. It can be made in larger quantities for entertaining. A sugar-free option omits lemonade and uses fresh citrus juice with stevia. For an adult twist, vodka or rum can be added, or sparkling seltzer replaces water for a lightly effervescent cocktail variation.
