Starbucks Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew
Description
Starbucks Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew uses coarsely ground coffee steeped in cold water for a minimum of 12 hours to produce a smooth, robust cold brew concentrate. The coffee is carefully separated from the grounds to maintain clarity and flavor. Meanwhile, the vanilla sweet cream combines a homemade vanilla syrup—made by dissolving sugar in boiling water with vanilla extract—with a mix of 2% milk and heavy cream. When combined, the sweet cream adds a subtle, richly flavored sweetness to the cold brew, balancing its natural bitterness.
The preparation involves slow steeping to develop the coffee's smooth profile and crafting a vanilla syrup that keeps the drink sweet but delicate. Since both components are stored in the refrigerator, this recipe allows for making large batches ahead of time. This drink suits those who enjoy coffee with a gentle sweetness and creamy texture that can be served chilled over ice or poured into a glass as desired.
For best results, store the vanilla syrup in the refrigerator for up to two weeks and the sweet cream for 3 to 4 days. Measure servings carefully as the vanilla syrup portion is concentrated—about one tablespoon per serving—while the sweet cream is typically added two tablespoons per glass.
