Starbucks Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher
Description
This recipe starts by making a straightforward simple syrup from equal parts water and sugar boiled briefly to dissolve the sugar, then cooled. The tea base combines green tea and hibiscus tea steeped together to extract floral and herbal flavors along with a mild grassy note from the green tea. After brewing, the tea is chilled to room temperature.
The chilled tea is mixed with white grape juice and the prepared simple syrup to sweeten the drink naturally. Pouring the mixture into tall glasses filled with ice and frozen berries adds a colorful, cooling element that enhances the experience with fruity touches from the berries, which also slightly chill and infuse the drink as they thaw.
This drink resembles the popular Starbucks Refresher beverage and can be customized by substituting different frozen berries or adding lemonade for a variation. It suits anyone looking for a homemade refreshing cold tea with subtle complexity from tea and fruit components without artificial additives.
