Strawberry Cheesecake Dip
Description
This dip blends the smooth richness of cream cheese with the tangy sweetness of vanilla-flavored Greek yogurt and confectioners' sugar, creating a balanced creamy base. Fresh strawberries are pureed and strained to remove seeds, ensuring a silky consistency when mixed into the cream cheese mixture. The final product is smooth with mild strawberry flavor and a cheesecake-like tang. Chopped additional berries on top add texture and visual appeal.
The dip is designed to be served cold and pairs nicely with graham crackers or fresh fruit for dipping, offering a light, fresh dessert alternative. It can be prepared ahead and chilled until serving, holding well for a few days without losing texture or flavor.
The recipe allows substituting thawed frozen strawberries or strawberry jam for convenience, and plain Greek yogurt can replace vanilla if desired. Using room temperature cream cheese prevents lumps and ensures smooth blending. Straining pureed strawberries through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth provides a refined texture free from seeds.
Ingredients
- 2 cups strawberries plus more for serving, whole, fresh
- 6 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
- 5.3 ounce Greek yogurt vanilla flavor
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
Instructions
- Puree the strawberries in a food processor. Strain the sauce through a fine mesh sieve placed over a bowl to remove seeds (you should have about 1/2 cup puree.)
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, whisk together the cream cheese, yogurt and sugar. Add the strawberry puree (1/2 cup) and beat until smooth and few chunks remain. Top with additional chopped strawberries, as desired. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Serve with graham crackers, strawberries, or other fruit.
Notes
- Store the dip refrigerated for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
- Double the ingredient quantities to make a larger batch for gatherings.
- Thawed frozen strawberries or strawberry jam can replace fresh puree if needed.
- Use plain Greek yogurt in place of vanilla if preferred.
- Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing to avoid lumps.
- Strain the strawberry puree using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove seeds and achieve smoothness.
