  • ½ cup butter unsalted, melted
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • cup milk

Strawberries

  • 3-4 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the butter in a 9x13 inch baking dish and melt it in the oven, should take about 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and sugar.
  5. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
  6. Spoon the strawberry mixture over the batter. Do not stir.
  7. Carefully transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is cooked through.
  8. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Fresh strawberries: Fresh strawberries will yield the best flavor. However, frozen strawberries can also be used; no need to thaw before adding to the recipe.
  • Adjusting sweetness: Depending on the sweetness of your strawberries, you may want to adjust the amount of sugar in the filling.
