Strawberry Gin Lemonades

Strawberry Gin Lemonades blend fresh strawberry puree and juice with gin and lemonade for a refreshing cocktail. Garnished with strawberry and lemon slices, this drink layers sweet, tart, and botanical flavors perfect for warm weather sipping.

Description

This cocktail begins with homemade strawberry puree made by blending quartered strawberries with water, half of which is strained for juice to leave a smooth texture. The puree provides a fruity base while the juice adds brightness. In the glass, the puree sits at the bottom with ice added before the gin is poured over, blending alcohol with fruit flavor.

Strawberry juice adds a sweet and slightly tart element, topped off with lemonade that balances acidity and sweetness. Stirring integrates layers while maintaining distinctive flavors. Garnishing with sliced strawberries and lemon enhances the drink's presentation and adds fresh aroma.

The combination yields a balanced, slightly fruity cocktail that highlights fresh strawberries and the distinctive botanical notes of gin. Preparing the puree in advance and straining half for juice provides both texture and clarity, making a visually appealing and flavorful beverage.

strawberry puree

  1. Blend together the strawberries and water until smooth and blended. Pour half of the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to strain any solids. You have your strawberry juice! Keep the other half of the puree to fill up the bottom of the glasses. This will leave you with extra, so you can store it in the fridge in a sealed container for a few days!
