Strawberry Jello Poke Cake

Report
Strawberry Jello Poke Cake is a moist white cake that is baked, then punctured with holes to absorb dissolved strawberry gelatin, resulting in a flavorful and moist dessert. After chilling, it is topped with whipped topping and garnished with sliced fresh strawberries for a light, fruity finish. This layered texture offers a soft cake infused with sweet strawberry flavor and creamy topping.

Description

This recipe begins by preparing a white cake mix according to package directions and baking it in a 9x13 inch pan. Once cooled for about 30 minutes, holes are poked throughout the surface with the back of a spoon to allow the gelatin mixture to soak deep into the cake.

A strawberry gelatin mix is dissolved in boiling water and carefully poured over the cake, where it seeps into the holes, infusing the cake with strawberry flavor and moisture. After chilling in the fridge for several hours, the cake is topped with a container of whipped topping spread evenly across the surface, providing a creamy and light texture contrast.

Fresh sliced strawberries garnish the top, adding color, additional fruit flavor, and fresh texture. The poke cake combines the soft and airy cake crumb with sweetened gelatin and smooth topping, offering a chilled dessert ideal for gatherings or casual desserts.
