Strawberry Lemonade Recipe
Description
This Strawberry Lemonade Recipe starts by combining lemonade—either freshly prepared or from frozen concentrate—with halved strawberries. The strawberries are pureed along with fresh basil leaves if desired, adding a subtle herbal note. The strawberry mixture is stirred back into the lemonade with remaining sliced strawberries and lemon slices for garnish.
The result is a vibrant pink lemonade with a balance of tart citrus, sweet berry flavors, and optional fragrant basil. Serving it over ice keeps the drink cool and refreshing. The fresh strawberry pieces add texture and visual appeal.
This beverage works well as a non-alcoholic option for gatherings or simply for a fruity thirst quencher. Using frozen lemonade concentrate requires preparation per package instructions before mixing. Basil is optional but can add a bright, herby contrast if included.
Ingredients
- 10 cups lemonade (or 12 oz can frozen lemonade*)
- 1/2 lb strawberries washed and hulled
- 1 lemon sliced for garnish
- 6 basil a small handful, lightly packed), optional, fresh leaves
- ice as needed to serve
