Strawberry Moscow Mule

The Strawberry Moscow Mule is a refreshing cocktail that showcases muddled fresh strawberries combined with ginger beer, vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup. Served over ice with a sprig of mint, it balances fruity sweetness with spicy ginger and bright citrus. This drink offers a smooth and crisp texture through muddling and stirring, making it a flavorful variation on the classic mule, ideal for immediate serving.

Description

This cocktail blends fresh muddled strawberries with the classic Moscow Mule ingredients to create a vibrant, fruit-forward variant. The muddling process breaks down the strawberries to release natural sweetness and juice, which harmonizes with the spicy ginger beer and tangy lime juice. Vodka adds a neutral alcoholic base while simple syrup adjusts the sweetness for balance. The drink is served cold over ice to maintain refreshing qualities, with mint garnish to add a fresh herbal aroma.

The preparation is straightforward, combining muddled fruit with measured liquids stirred well to integrate flavors evenly. It suits consumption soon after making to preserve the bright strawberry notes and ginger fizz. For a non-alcoholic version, vodka can be omitted without sacrificing the drink's character.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 5 strawberries muddled
  • 3 oz. ginger beer
  • 1 ½ oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. simple syrup
  • ½ oz. lime juice freshly squeezed
  • ice for serving
  • mint for garnish, fresh

Instructions

  1. Slice the strawberries.
  2. Place the strawberries in a glass (a copper mug or your glassware of choice—we aren’t picky here!), and muddle with a muddler.
  3. Measure the ginger beer, vodka, simple syrup and lime juice into the glass on top of the strawberries.
  4. Use a spoon to stir the ingredients until well-combined.
  5. Top with ice, garnish with an additional strawberry and a sprig of mint, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Omit vodka to make a tasty non-alcoholic mocktail version.
  • This recipe can be easily scaled up for larger gatherings by multiplying ingredient amounts.
