Strawberry Romaine Salad
Description
Strawberry Romaine Salad blends bite-sized pieces of romaine lettuce with sliced strawberries, grapes, and green onions, with walnuts or pecans added optionally for crunch and nutty flavor. The salad ingredients bring both fresh, crisp textures and juicy fruitiness.
The dressing is prepared by shaking orange juice, rice vinegar, sugar, dry Italian dressing mix, and vegetable oil in a jar until combined. This dressing introduces a sweet and tangy profile with herbaceous notes complementing the salad's components. Pouring the dressing over individual servings allows for a fresh, lightly coated salad.
This salad works well as a refreshing side or a light lunch, offering a mix of textures from crisp greens and fruit to crunchy nuts. The combination of fruit and greens with the flavorful dressing makes it versatile for varied meal settings.
