Strawberry Spinach Salad Recipe

This Strawberry Spinach Salad combines fresh spinach leaves with juicy sliced strawberries and crunchy slivered almonds, dressed in a sweet and tangy dressing made with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and a hint of Worcestershire sauce. The salad is tossed with the dressing and chilled before serving, blending the flavors and textures into a crisp and refreshing salad with a unique seed-based dressing. It works well as a light side dish for summer meals or as a fresh addition to any lunch or dinner.

Description

The Strawberry Spinach Salad Recipe features fresh spinach torn into bite-sized pieces paired with sweet, sliced strawberries and blanched slivered almonds, adding a crisp texture. The dressing is a mixture of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, distilled vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder, whisked together and chilled for one hour. This dressing combines sweetness with a subtle tang and a hint of savory depth from Worcestershire and spices.

After tossing the salad ingredients with the chilled dressing, the entire salad is refrigerated for 10 to 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld while maintaining the crispness of the spinach and the bite of strawberries and almonds. The interplay of these elements creates a refreshing salad with contrasting textures and balanced flavors.

This salad is suited for serving as a light starter or a complement to grilled meats or sandwiches. It can be prepared ahead and kept chilled until ready to serve, making it suitable for gatherings or a quick nutritious snack.
