Stuffed French Toast Recipe

Stuffed French Toast sandwiches slices of Texas toast with a mixture of whipped cream cheese, brown sugar, strawberry jam, and fresh chopped strawberries, then dips the sandwiches in a cinnamon-vanilla egg custard before pan-frying. This creates a rich, fruity, and creamy breakfast option with a crisp, buttery exterior and soft, sweet interior.

Description

This recipe blends cream cheese, brown sugar, strawberry jam, and chopped strawberries to make a sweet, creamy filling spread between two slices of thick Texas toast to form a sandwich. The sandwich is then dipped in a batter made of beaten eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla to coat fully. Cooking in melted butter on a skillet or griddle crisps the bread's exterior while warming the filling inside. Cooking roughly 4 minutes per side achieves a golden crust and heated filling.

The finished dish offers a contrast between the crispy, buttery toast surface and the soft, gooey, fruity cream cheese filling. The cinnamon and vanilla flavor the custard bath, blending nicely with the sweet strawberry notes. Powdered sugar and syrup can be added as toppings for extra sweetness.

These stuffed toasts serve well for leisurely weekend breakfasts or special occasions, providing a balance of creamy, fruity, and rich textures and flavors in each bite.
