Sweet Cream Cheese Dip Recipe

Sweet Cream Cheese Dip blends softened cream cheese and butter with powdered sugar, vanilla, and a touch of salt, finished with heavy cream for a creamy and sweet spread. This dip carries a smooth, fluffy texture that pairs well with fruits, cookies, or breakfast pastries. It serves approximately six, making it suitable for small gatherings or as a versatile accompaniment for snacks and desserts.

Description

The Sweet Cream Cheese Dip Recipe combines cream cheese and unsalted butter beaten until fluffy, then mixed with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of kosher salt. Adding heavy cream yields a creamy consistency that’s both rich and smooth. The dip’s balanced sweetness and soft texture make it an ideal topping for fruits like strawberries or apple slices, or a complement to baked goods such as cinnamon rolls or soft pretzels. It can be refrigerated and used within a few days or warmed slightly to create a glaze for pastries. The recipe produces about 1 1/2 cups, enough to serve six people with a modest portion each.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 3 Tbsp butter softened, unsalted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar whisked to remove lumps
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • kosher salt pinch
  • 2 Tbsp heavy cream half and half or whole milk can be substituted

  2. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt and mix until combined.
  3. Add heavy cream and beat until creamy, about 2 minutes.
  4. Store in refrigerator in an airtight container, or use immediately.
  5. Dip can also be warmed in the microwave if you wanted a warm glaze (such as the glaze that comes with cinnamon sugar soft pretzels).

Notes

  • This recipe yields about 1 1/2 cups, suitable for approximately six servings.
  • You can warm the dip briefly in the microwave to create a glaze, such as for cinnamon sugar soft pretzels.
